Great job everyone!
I'm making a note here:
HUGE SUCCESS!

Do you live in Europe and want to get your hands on a shiny Raikou, Suicune, or Entei? Well, you’ll soon be able to! Nintendo has announced that European players can grab the legendary beasts through a Wi-Fi event that will begin on February 7th, 2011. You can access this event through any Generation IV Pokémon game (D/P/Pt or HG/SS). When transferred over to Pokémon Black or White Version, the beasts will unlock the chance to catch the legendary Pokémon, Zoroark. In addition, each Pokémon has a move that it wouldn’t normally have. Raikou will have Weather Ball, Entei will have Flare Blitz, and Suicune will have Sheer Cold. All three will know Extremespeed as well.

Nintendo also announced that Celebi will be available for download in Europe sometime soon as well, but further details were withheld. There is currently no end date announced for the Legendary Beasts, but make sure to mark your calendar. It is currently unknown if you can download all 3, or if you only get one. However, only one is required to catch Zoroark anyway.

As a reminder, if you live in the US, it’s not too late to get your hands on the Legendary Beasts (although the Raikou event has already ended). You can visit your nearest Gamestop on the following dates to download each of the Legendary Beasts:

-January 17th to January 23rd: Entei
-January 31st to February 6th: Suicune
-February 27th to March 7th: Celebi

Hey guys and welcome back to the Community Pokémon Archive, where members of the community can write any article pertaining to Pokémon that they choose in the hopes of building up the excitement for the TSG Pokémon Marathon in March and the release of Pokémon Black and White Versions on March 6th.

This project has really been a success so far and we’ve barely scratched the surface yet. So let’s get on to today’s article. Several months ago, Notmman created a forum post giving a detailed list of his opinions on Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald and has now requested it be put up on the blog for all of TSG to see. Just remember, Generation V was just beginning to come into the picture at the time this was written.

Welcome back to the third edition of the Community Pokémon Archive, a series of articles written by the TSG Community to build up the hype for the upcoming Pokémon Marathon in March and the release of Black and White in the US on March 6th.

Today’s article was written by yours truly, and I chose to explore ten of the dumbest moments in the history of the Pokémon anime. I promise we’ll go back to community articles next time, but for now, enjoy this article.

You can read it after the jump.

It’s time for another article from Community Pokémon Archive! For those who missed the first article, we basically wanted to give members of the community a chance to write any article they want (pertaining to Pokémon, of course) to inform the community on the many aspects of Pokémon, as well as build the hype for the upcoming Pokémon marathons in March and December.

Today’s article was written by Profile, who chose to write about Shiny Pokémon.

It’s time for the Community Pokémon Archive! We wanted to get the community involved in building the hype for the upcoming Pokémon Marathon as well as the release of Black and White in March. Several members of the community have written articles on a topic that they’ve chosen related to Pokémon.

This first article was written by Slowflake, who chose to take a look at the top 16 beasts of competitive Pokémon play back in Generation 1 (R/B/Y).

You can read this very in-dept and informational article after the jump.

Well, we’ve finally gotten an official release date for Pokémon Black and Pokémon White versions from a press release earlier today.

In the press release, they shattered rumors of the April 17th or so release date and instead announced that the games will be released in North America on Sunday, March 6th in 2011!

Nintendo also said in the press release a lot of things we already know, such as version exclusive areas, Reshiram and Zekrom, and the changing seasons.

And for you TSGer’s, we no longer need to worry about not having access to english versions of the game during the marathon.

A trailer was also released for the games, which you can find after the jump

Valve’s long anticipated Portal 2 has gotten a reconfirmation for an April 21st release date along with some additional news.

EA announced today that they will be distributing the boxed copies of Portal 2 for the Xbox 360 and PS3. Of course, Steam will be handling the digital distribution for PC and Mac owners.

Vice President Doug Lombardi said in the press release, Portal 2 is Valve’s most innovative title in the company’s history and will be launched with a first-class launch campaign this April. We’re excited to be working with Electronic Arts to deliver this title as we expand our platform strategy to include the Mac and PlayStation 3 platforms”

Portal 2 was recently voted the Most Anticipated Game of 2011, and I’m definitely excited for the game.

How about you?

Although Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood just released back on November 16th, Ubisoft has already revealed plans for a new game in the series (most likely Assassin’s Creed III) for release next year, despite an earlier statement made by Ubisoft that they would be taking a break from the series in 2011.

A few days ago, Ubisoft released a survey with 15 questions asking players what they would want to see in the next Assassin’s Creed. While it is unlikely that Ubisoft will base all of their decisions for the game based on the results of the survey, the list certainly includes many things that Ubisoft will likely consider.

If the Playstation Phone hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, this just about does it. Yesterday, a two minute Youtube video showing off footage for the phone was leaked. Unfortunately, the video doesn’t have any sound, but it’s still cool nonetheless.

The device is reportedly code-named the “Zeus Z1,”and is shown to be running the next incremental update to Google’s Android operating system, v2.3 (“Gingerbread”). All kinds of currently-available Google applications — including Maps and YouTube — are installed on the phone, along with an app simply named “PlayStation.”

It’s not exactly thin (in fact, it looks to be quite bulky) but it will most likely be able to play both PSP and Android games, so it’s not like the expectations that it would be really thin were that high anyway.

You can check out the footage after the jump.

While it’s only been about three months since the release of Halo: Reach, Bungie’s swan song to the series, as well as the latest expansion for the game releasing just yesterday in the form of the Noble Map Pack DLC, talk of the next Halo game has already begun.

It’s well known that Bungie will not be making any more games in the Halo franchise, with the project being passed over to 343 Industries, an internal Microsoft company. Recently, a U.K. magazine called Games Master announced that 343 Industries’ first release will be a remake of the original Halo: Combat Evolved.
