Capcom has announced a new online title for the Mega Man series – Rock Man Online, an online 3D side scrolling action RPG for PC developed by Neowiz.
The game will keep the same action elements Mega Man fans love, while adding in RPG elements. As with any RPG, your character advances in stats as you continue to play.
X and Zero have been announced as NPCs for the game, but you can expect many more from the Mega Man universe to appear.You can check out the artwork for both of them after the jump.
Currently the game is only announced for Asian regions. But Capcom recently trademarked Mega Man Universe for North America, which sounds like a likely name for the title. Hopefully we will hear an official word on the localization soon.

I expected a mega man mmo to be more like the battle network series with a brand new way to battle but still this sounds awesome!
I saw this earlier. I find it funny that this it the first MMO that’s actually called MMO. Oh, if this has Rockman/MegaMan EXE in it, I will cry many tears of joy.
Definitely hoping for a localization. A Megaman MMO does sound like an interesting concept.
I’ve heard something about this. It looks interesting, and this is one MMO that I would pay for.
I might actually get back into Megaman for this one.
I’m imagining the “world” to have the substance of the Zero and ZX games.
Rockman Volnutt better show up somewhere. The Legends series needs to keep getting represented until we get a new installment. >_<
