We’d like for the community to send in pictures of their own TSG themed pumpkin carvings .  During our marathon we will give away different awards for the pumpkin carvings.  For example, most original, funniest..ect.  Also, if you’d like to create a stencil for your carving,  be sure to send that in too so other members can recreate your art.  We will compile a slideshow of all the pumpkin submissions we received and play it during the  Halloween marathon.  Start sending in your carvings today! Remember that you don’t need to be an artist, this is all in good fun.
You can drop your submissions in the forum topic here and Fanart@TheSpeedGamers.com

Let see what Phil cooks up this time!

For the third episode of Route TSG, Gwellin shows his A Link to the Past route taken during the third Zelda Marathon in March.

Here’s a short video preview of how TheSpeedGamers prepare for their marathons.

Everybody knows by now that I’m a huge Zelda fan. I’ve owned and beaten all of them excluding the CDi games, Phil claims that feat. There’s a lot of speculation floating around of what the next Zelda game should be, look like, sound like, taste like. Here’s what  I’d like to see Nintendo do with the Zelda series.

Ggs.cythe has done it again, making another brilliant trailer for our Resident Marathon.

You may be asking yourself “Now why did TSG have to go and mess up something that wasn’t broken in the first place?”. The answer is simple, we were bored.

First you should notice we re-imagined our navigation bar altogether, we have separated the Gaming content from our Marathon content (try doing that with your America s’mores, Phil). It wasn’t easy but we did it for the convenience of our readers, and that’s who matters dangit!

Nav bar

  • When you hover over the “Marathons” section the sub-navigation bar (Red colored) will change to reflect the content categories we have setup for that particular section, the same goes for “Home”. By the way “Forums” is now “Community”

Something it seems gamers and gaming websites love to do is rank things. Don’t worry though, unlike all the other ranking articles, I’ll keep my list to one page. What else better to rank than the Zelda series right?!? Not to sound cocky, but I think I’ve got a pretty good feel for the series. I used to sit in my diaper for hours at a time watching my dad solve both Zelda 1 and 2 on the NES before I had even learned talk. By the time I was 3, I was able to take on Zelda by myself. My dad would clear the dungeons and then hand the controller over to me for the boss battles. At age 4 I was able to complete the game in its entirety by myself.  You can probably understand why Zelda would become my favorite franchise, and eventually would lead me to creating a group of gamers that would speed run the entire franchise.

The rankings after the jump

I ordered the Classic Controller PRO for the Wii recently, and here I unbox and test it out. Not a bad controller, but watch the video to see my detailed thoughts.
