Ok guys I am very excited about this!! First of all I’m making this post from my iPod touch I recieved for Christmas…but that’s not what this post is all about.
At Magfest I had the priviledge of hearing a band called Metroid Metal perform. If you have never heard of them head over to www.metroidmetal.com and listen to their music.
Seeing as how we are about to do a Metroid Marathon I sent them an email and they were pretty excited and have offered to donate several cd’s and perhaps t shirts (ok I forgot to ask about t shirts).
The album is titled Varia Suit and I love it, especially the Lower Norfair track.
I can’t wait for this marathon!
What a picture perfect marathon. We had a photo finish in catching our last and 493rd Pokemon. I can’t tell you how much excitement was flowing through the room. We are all proud to have raised over $18,000 for Ally’s House. We are about $1,000 short of $125,000 total raised for various causes.
Emails will be sent out shortly to those of you who won prizes :
- Meowth hat and Pokemon Indigo League season 1: Redraw
- Pokemon Diamond/Ho-oh plushie: Mike Furst
- Pokemon Pearl/Turtwig plushie: Justin Felke
- Pokemon Platinum/Palkia figurine: Ruju
- Shiny Team: Redah Winsblow
- Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Peter T.
- Pokemon Card collection: Stian Haugen
- Heart Gold: Tom Katzman
- Soul Silver: Chris Jolly
- Drawing of Pokemon team of your choice, by Anatotitan: Nicholas Viola

More prizes! YAY. Calvin and Ashigaru have sent us a boat load of holo Pokemon cards to give away as prizes, WOOT!
It should also be noted that the top 150 donators will be getting hand drawn Pokemon art from Anatotitan! She also has some original Pokemon themed art work that we will be giving away as prizes (pictured later).
Thank you to everyone who submitted checklists for our marathon, they were all great. After looking over them all, I have decided that we will be using C. Schwartz’s list. We will announce his prize during the marathon.
I’m at work writing this update so I don’t have any pictures of the prizes. I’ll upload images when I get home tonight.
Prize update #2
Prize update #1
When I got home from work today I had 2 packages waiting on me. The first was from Ruju, it contained a brand new copy of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of the Sky. Next was a hand made Meowth hat and drawing from Koji.
Both of these will be prizes in our upcoming Pokemon marathon on Dec 18. The first prize updated included Pokemon Platinum from Cow , a Ho-oh plushie from Cheesecake , and complete sets of Pokemon league badges from Yuso.
