During a event in Poland BioWare’s Jay Watamanuik mentioned the target platforms for Mass Effect 2. He included the already announced 360 and PC versions that will be coming in January but also included “probably PS3“. Mr. Watamanuik reportedly later backed away from this statement though.
While it could have just been a slip up there’s a bit more evidence pointing to a PS3 release. Some retailers listed the game coming to PS3 earlier in the week, EA commented saying that the listings were mistakes on the retailer’s part.
Mass Effect was only released for PC and X-box 360. I’m not sure if a PS3 version of the original would be possible because Microsoft published the first title before BioWare was purchased by EA. I’m not sure what kind of walls this would put up for bringing the title over to PS3. Anyone who doesn’t mind hopping in mid story though or for one reason or another no longer has a X-box 360 may want to keep an eye on this rumor of the PS3 version of Mass Effect 2.

There seems to be a possibility that the setting for Assassin’s Creed III could be in WWII. Ubisoft apparently had “discussions” about the setting as well as a female assassin. Seems pretty interesting…but is it needed? Discuss.

BSN reported that Nvidia has won the contract to create processors for the next Nintendo DS, which the site says is scheduled for a late 2010 announcement. They backed it up with “confidential sources” but who knows how trust worthy those are. Their sources also said that the new platform would be able to play old DS games along with the system’s new games.
I’d take this rumor very lightly, but its worth mentioning since the DS is fairly old at this point, hopefully your DSiWare software would be able to transfer over. It is also worth mentioning though that Nintendo has said in the past that they have created a new hand held during the DS’s life cycle, but ended up scraping it because it wasn’t the right time and didn’t have enough changes for them to feel worth a release.
Rumors have been going around about a Super Street Fighter IV and while we had evidence T.Hawk might be in it, some screen shots have surfaced which confirms him along with another character, Juri.
The screen shots were found via Destructoid from JV247 who apparently had release the screen shots early. But from what I can tell, JV247′s site is currently down.
Engadget had a intresting piece of information come across their site.
The PS3 may be getting an Uncharted 2 bundle with a 250GB PS3. Endgadget said it was from a reliable source, but for right now we will leave it as a rumor just to be safe. No price point or release information was given. But based off the rumor for Europe that includes the same bundle, I would take a guess it will hit some times in October if its real.
A south African retailer has listed a ” Xbox Super 360 Elite” which is equipped with a massive 250 gb hdd and 2 wireless controllers. No official word from Microsoft themselves, but the local distributor Comztek says the ad is legit.

DsiWare has yet to deliver on what I would consider its first major game. I’ve been disappointed in what the DsiWare has to offer so far. However, I think the service has tremendous potential to be a system seller for the Dsi if Nintendo would add some big titles to its library and some sort of VC support for the older Nintendo handhelds (GB,GBC,GBA). If Nintendo Power delivers on what they are teasing, we might catch word of DsiWare’s first step toward my expectations.
“Last issue’s Next Month tease for more No More Heroes 2 coverage fell through (sorry about that), but we’re 99.99% sure that Leon and co. will drop by next month to blow up your world with Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles. And to make up for NMH2, we’ll reveal a major DSiWare title that should make many of you very, very happy.”

Today Capcom revealed via their official Twitter page that they would be making several game announcements during Tokyo Game Show. It would be easy to speculate that a new Okami would be amongst those announcements. Fueling the speculation is Capcom’s filing of a trademark in Japan on the word “Okamiden” or “Legend of Okami”.
Tokyo Game Show will begin Thursday September 24th, something to keep an eye on.
