We actually heard almost the exact same rumor earlier this year, but now it seems to have re-emerged. Yahoo has gotten some inside info that Microsoft is holding talks to have a TV channel that could be accessed via the Xbox 360.

Previously we only heard that the channel’s content would be aimed at young males. But now some more specific networks were listed. The inside sources suggested ABC, NBC, Fox, CBS, ESPN and CNN  as being possibly candidates. The inside sources believe HBO and Showtime may be available as well.   Yahoo says that the service will require a monthly fee to access this channel, although its unclear if this is a separate cost or just the Xbox Live subscription fee.

While it has been over half a year since the original rumor, it still will be awhile till we see the possible fruits of this rumor. The inside sources suggested the plan was still around a full twelve months away from being implemented. Maybe we will see something at E3 2011.

Steam is a pretty big deal, if you didn’t know. The service has pretty much dominated the PC market the last few years, with excellent service and a massive library of old and new titles.  While retail releases are available on steam, they have always been available via in-store or other digital distribution sites.

Now titles like Black-Ops and Fallout: New Vegas are starting to integrate steam into the titles themselves. How do retailers feel about this? Well, they aren’t exactly happy. MCV reports that inside sources have claimed that at least two major retailers are threatening publishers to try to prevent Steam from being built into titles. If they do not cooperate, the retailers will cease to sell titles featuring Steam.

Of course, Steam is a major competitor in the PC market for these retailers either in-store or digital distribution. So getting more people to use it, isn’t exactly what they want. Although, with such high profile releases like Call of Duty: Black-Ops and Fallout: New Vegas being integrated, can they afford to lose these titles?

SEGA’s 2009 House of the Dead Overkill was one of the first titles to challenge the Wii’s Mature market. Unfortunately, it didn’t go so well. Sales were decent, but nothing stunning.

But that might not  stop SEGA from creating a sequel. Nintendolife has heard from inside sources close to SEGA that a sequel is in the works. Unfortunately, no details were disclosed. But we can speculate that, now with PlayStation Move, it may go multiplatform, or possibly not even show up on Wii.

The title was an on-rails grind house gore fest with a focus on dark humor, blood, guts, zombies, curse words and and more M rated things. The title even held the record for the most F bombs dropped in a title for a year. It was only recently overthrown by Mafia II.

It would be great to see the series to continue. Hopefully people will actually buy it this time. At one point, some numbers were floating around suggesting more copies of the game were pirated than purchased, which is just sad.

Remember the first multi-player focused Resident Evil titles? Yeah, not too fabulous. Resident Evil 5, though? Pretty good. Capcom may be looking into moving the next big entry in the series to a multi-player focused title.

Kotaku received a document for a Resident Evil title with the sub name Raccoon City. The document lists Slant Six as the developers. They have previously worked on the SOCOM series. The document suggests it will be a team-based title, but didn’t get into specifics.

With Capcom picking up Western developers for titles like Devil May Cry and Dead Rising 2, it wouldn’t be surprising to see this move made. When Kotaku asked Capcom to comment, they responded, “Capcom does not respond to rumors and/or speculation.” Surprise, surprise.

The only currently announced Resident Evil titles are both heading to Nintendo 3DS.

Literally. The new PSP2′s screen will be an inch larger and ‘sharper’ than the PSP.

Kotaku reports that: “The screen itself is not only sharper than the current PSP’s but also about an inch larger. The larger screen means that the PSP2 will be larger as well. In the private meetings, Sony is touting the screen as ‘HD’ “

These reports also back up information gathered about the existence of a touch screen panel on the back of the device saying: “The touch panel was described as looking like a big mouse track pad. When Sony showed the PSP2, it did not provide concrete details regarding how the trackpad will be implemented in games and instead is leaving that to the discretion of game developers.”

In saying this the product stands unfinished and spec is likely to change. Sources say that the PSP2 is likely to launch at the end of 2011 but this is just a rumour.

Engadget is claiming that they have the first pictures of the PlayStation Phone, saying that multiple inside sources have confirmed the device.

The device very much looks like the PSPGo, but with some phone buttons tossed on there. While the Prototype lacks an analog nub, there is a touch pad between the d-pad and the face buttons.  There was a bunch of other technical mumbo jumbo rumored a few months back, you can check out that post here.

It’s still unclear whether or not the rumored PlayStation Phone and rumored PlayStation Portable 2 are the same device. We will have to wait for more details in the future.

You can check out Engadget’s full set of leaked images over on their website.

The PSP Go, despite not doing very well, still sits at a hefty $249.99 price point. That might be changed come Friday, though.

Joystiq got a tip from a retail store employee that Sony will be dropping the price of the portable to $199.99. The price drop is supposed to take place October 15th. The only evidence is a snapshot of a supposed notice Sony sent out, although that could have been easily made by anyone.

We will have to wait and see, but with the Holiday season coming up, it wouldn’t be unlikely to see the price drop.

Inside sources report that SEGA recently held a a event showing off two new Sonic titles. The first title is another entry in the Mario and Sonic franchise. The second title seems a little more special.

Supposedly the title is a anniversary collection, featuring some of the best levels from Sonic the Hedgehog all the way up to Sonic Adventure 2. The title includes 2D and 3D gameplay, although its a bit unclear if it is a mixture of the two. The inside source suggests that it plays similar to Colors and Unleashed with the two forms of gameplay mixed.

The inside source reports that the anniversary collection is set for PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Nintendo Wii, and Nintendo DS.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 is out now on the iPhone app store and will be launching on consoles throughout the week. Yeah, I specifically chose that image because it’s the one in the Sonic Rap video.

Nintendo just wrapped up their Nintendo Confrence where they mainly focused on Nintendo 3DS. The company still showed some stuff for Wii and DS, but it was a bit off to the side.

But the announcements may not be stopping there. According to French gaming website Live Wii, Nintendo will be having announcing some new Wii related details on the 11th of October. The information comes from an inside source, who gave the website a heads-up on Little Big Planet 2′s delay and the Wii Remote Plus before they were officially announced.

The source didn’t have any exact details, but there is a good chance we might be hearing more about the Wii’s Vitality Sensor which Nintendo left out from their E3 line up due to the atmosphere of the show. The source also doesn’t detail which region this information will be coming from.

Know what I want? An entire conference dedicated to the localization of Xenoblade, please!

You can check out the Wii software line-up video from Nintendo’s confrence which includes a new Rhythem Heaven and a new Fatal Frame (Rumored to be a Fatal Frame 2 remake)

We have been hearing a bit about the PSP2 for awhile. And while inside sources previously said Sony planned on announcing the platform at Gamescom or Tokyo Game Show, both have passed and here we are still with no PSP2 announcement.

Develop-Online claims that an inside source has confirmed that PSP2 dev kits are now in the hands of multiple third party developers to start working on titles for the platform.

Rumors have been floating around of a PlayStation Phone is in development, and would run off the Android 3.0 platform. Whether or not the PlayStation Phone rumor and PlayStation Portable 2 rumor are the same device is unclear.

But if software developers truly have their hands on the kits, it will only be a matter of time until software will be ready to be shown.
