Deathsmiles breaking out of Japan

Deathsmiles, a side scrolling SHMUP, is heading to North America thanks to publisher Aksys. It is a bit surprising to see a release since SHUMPs rarely hit home consoles nowadays in North America.

Deathsmiles is a Japanese arcade game featuring gothic loli girls. The title eventually saw a port to the Xbox 360 with enhanced visuals, which is the version we are getting.

The publisher didn’t announce any release date information, but you can probably expect it some time during 2010.

    Totally looking forward to this game. A youtube video of Cave’s other game, Mushihime-sama, introduced me to the bullet-curtain sub-genre several years ago, and I have been waiting to play a game from this series for quite a while.
