As if we didn’t already see it coming, Blizzard has announced that Diablo III will be delayed into the next year. It isn’t too surprising that they are delaying it considering Blizzard always makes sure their game are top notch before release. Luckily they are going to be extending their Beta of the game that is currently ongoing and inviting more participants to play. I look forward to hopefully getting in cus I opted in like a year ago.

I’m glad they’re actually taking the time to solve their itemization woes… unfortunately, that means a few more months of having to endure n00bs saying Blizzard doesn’t have a clue what they’re doing. I’m not a game designer, but it should be obvious to anybody with two brain cells to rub together that items are the kind of thing you design last, because skills and resources are far more fundamental systems, and if you change those, you have to remake all items from the ground up. And considering they just radically changed three classes out of five, why is anyone surprised that they’re just not ready yet in the item department?

With that being said, making stats public for all crafted, unique and set items was a massive PR blunder. Which goofball thought it was a good idea to make a whole lot of PLACEHOLDER DATA public?
