If you have been thinking of purchasing Dragon Age: Origins, I can tell you that you will not be disappointed by the game. However if you own a PS3 and were thinking of buying the Collectors, you may want to hold off on this.
It seems that EA decided to put the PS3 Collectors Edition disc onto a blu-ray to take advantage of the PS3’s blu-ray drive. This is great, except the disc has the gorgeous game soundtrack in it’s entirety…in mp3 format. The ps3 CAN read mp3’s but not if they are on a blu-ray disc.
So owners of the Collectors edition cannot access the soundtrack unless they have another device capable of reading mp3’s from a blu-ray, or unless they buy a blu-ray drive for their PC.
If i owned a ps3 (not until FFXIII comes out xD) I would be pretty upset if I paid $75 for a collectors edition, only to find out that i can’t access content on it from my PS3.

That’s a pretty large oversight by EA. Also, FFXIII is also coming out on the 360 if you already have one of those, you know that right?
I would just like to point out that the ps3 has no problem playing mp3 from a blu-ray as long as its coded to it correctly. EA themselves saved it onto the discs as if it was just data to be stored, making them inaccesible from a system that can’t read the command of an executable file.
The actual issue is that blu-ray will play it normally, not the hi quality it can play it at
i’m understanding you absolutely cannot access the mp3 data for DA:o from the ps3
course i know it’s also coming out on the 360, and i will be buying it for the 360 as well as purchasing a ps3 for it.
hopefully i can get a ffxiii ps3 in the US!
i’m a collector of FF, i can’t help myself xD
