The snowboarding genre both boomed and fizzled last generation. Pretty much every snowboarding has franchise died out, leaving Shaun White’s Snowboarding to take the throne via the Wii. Although recent evidence suggests EA may be looking to take a shot back at the genre but reviving their classic snowboarding series, SSX.
EA recently registered two new domain names connected to the SSX name: SSX First Descent and SSX Deadly Descent. Considering how similar the names are, they are probably just covering their ground while trying to figure out what title to go with. Of course, this doesn’t confirm the game, but it makes it seem very likely that one is, at the very least, in the works.
Who knows, maybe EA is just registering domain names for fun.
