The back of the PlayStation 3 box has been leaked for Final Fantasy XIII and it reveals some additional details for the PlayStation 3 version of the title. First up there is no mandatory or optional install for Final Fantasy XIII, so the only space it will take up on your hard drive is the 500kb required for save data. The second notable detail reveals that, unlike during gameplay, CGI cutscenes will support full 1080p HD. And lastly the title will support LCPM 5.1 audio.

This is a leak so be sure to take this information with caution. If it is true then we still don’t know if these features will also be present in the X-box 360 version. Unless Square-Enix announces it before, we will have to wait till December 17th when Final Fantasy XIII will be launching in Japan.

You can check out the leaked box after the jump, but there isn’t much to see.

i wish this was still ps3 exclusive. NOT because im a fanboy. but because then it would have subs and all that awesome stuff. then i could import it.

I can tell you right now that the 360 CANNOT do that type of audio. However, people are wondering if Square will remove that support (as well as the 1080p cutscenes) from the NA/EU PS3 version to compensate the 360′s inability to do the same.
