Want to see people talking about how they think their game is going to be awesome? Hit the jump. Admittedly, there is a good amount of footage in the video. So if you are looking forward to Guild Wars 2, there is plenty worth seeing.
The title doesn’t have a release date. But the last we heard, it was going to hit sometime in 2011.

Guild Wars 2′s lead designer Eric Flannum recently spoke with mmorpg about the changes that will be made from the original title. Flannum spoke about one of the major changes saying “We use a lot less instancing than we have in the past. The game is structured much more like other MMOs, with the world consisting almost entirely of fully persistent areas.”
They aren’t completely abandoning instancing though. Flannum goes onto say “…we have a number of different ways in which we use instancing. Dungeons, for example, are instanced areas designed for group play. We also use instancing very heavily in the players’ personal quest chain to reflect decisions that the player has made on those quests.”
I never really got into Guild Wars, but losing something unique is a bit of a shame. There are so many MMOs out there, so structuring it more like other MMOs remove some of the uniqueness of it.
Guild Wars 2 isn’t coming out till 2011, so we still have quite a ways till the title actually hits.

Guild Wars fans have been waiting a long time for Guild Wars 2 and their going to have to wait even more. Jaeho Lee, NCsoft west CEO, said that “The commercialization will be expected at this point probably sometime in the year 2011.” He did say that there may be a closed beta test in 2010, so there is still a chance that there will be a way to take a shot at the sequel before 2011.
