North Americans are being left out when it comes to the Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep collectors edition. But those who still don’t have a PSP yet, and plan on picking up Birth by Sleep, should look at a Gamestop exclusive bundle Sony will be offering.
The bundle includes a Mystic Silver PSP-3000, Birth by Sleep, a 4 GB memory stick, 50 songs via SonyMusicPass, and… Madden 2011? Yeah I’m not sure that last one is supposed to be there… BUT maybe its a hint. Kingdom Hearts: FOOTBALL EDITION. Final Fantasy and Disney Characters duke it out on the field with the old pigskin. Throw in some real madden players in there too, instant moola.
Whether or not Madden 2011 is actually in it, the bundle costs $199.99. You can pick up at GameStop when the title launches September 7th.

Thanks Brineboy!
If you are one of the people who traded your PSP for a stylish PSP Go last year you won’t be getting to play Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. Well not in the near future anyway.
The latest game in the Kingdom Hearts series is set for release for UMD next month but the rumours have been confirmed by Square Enix that it wont be released on the Playstation Network – the only way PSP Go owners could play it. Although Square Enix only said, “currently no plans” so on the brightside that could change in the future.
Since the PSP Go was introduced nearly a year ago, pretty much every title has been released on PSN so this is kinda disappointing, although maybe this is the start of companies accepting that PSP Go is a failed experiment..?

Gamers will finally be able to get their hands on Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep starting September 7th in North American and September 10th in Europe.
North Americans who don’t have a PSP though may want to look into getting the PSP bundle available on the game’s launch. It will include a Mystic-Silver PSP-3000, a copy of Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep on UMD, and a 4GB Memory stick. Those who purchase it will also get a movie, but the exact movie, or selection of movies, has yet to be announced.
After the jump you can find a handful of screens and a rather short and uneventful trailer with a guy with a funny voice.

Kingdom Hearts Director, Tetsuya Nomura, recently dropped the bomb announcing that three Kingdom Hearts games were currently in development, including Kingdom Hearts 3.
“About the next title, Kingdom Hearts 3 depends on Final Fantasy XIII Versus, but development of the next title is already underway. There are two titles other than Kingdom Hearts 3 in conception, and I think I’ll release one within this year.”
“As from next year, I want to put out a title with multiple main characters.”
So there you have it, Kingdom Hearts 3 is in the works and two more titles are on the way. The title that is set to hit “within this year” might not hit North America or Europe this year with Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep launching this year, but based off the Kingdom Hearts popularity they will all probably head West soon after.

As Fettouhi said in his Let’s Talk Games Podcast, Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep has been announced for Europe. Europeans can expect to get the title this Summer - just like North America.
Warning! The color blue is after the jump.
Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep launched earlier this year in Japan, but now its North America’s turn. Square-Enix plans to have the title out this Summer exclusively for PlayStation Portable in North America.
Along with all the content found in the Japanese version, the title will include new content including new multiplayer options, multiplayer modes, and an extra boss fight. Last month, Tetsuya Nomura said he wanted to rebalance Birth by Sleep as well, but whether or not those changes made it in has yet to be seen.
Unfortunately no word for a European release yet.

Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep is already out in Japan on the PSP, but a North American or European release date isn’t anywhere in sight. The extra wait might be worth it though as the localized version of the title might have the balance of the game tweaked and possibly a new mode.
Tetsuya Nomura was asked if they were planning on altering the game at all during localization. He pointed out that the bosses in the Japanese version are a little too weak, so he thinks he might buff them up a bit for the US release. He also wants to gimp the Mega Flare spell in the title which is over powered in the Japanese release.
Nomura also mentioned adding a mode called “Critical Mode” into the game, but didn’t go into details what exactly the mode would be. Possibly a extra difficulty or something of the sort?
As of right now Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep isn’t even announced for North America or Europe, but we can probably all assume at this point it is coming.

I don’t think anyone doubted that Square-Enix would ignore the big pile of cash Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep would most likely produce in regions outside of Japan, but if you for some reason feared the PSP exclusive wouldn’t be released outside of Japan you can rest easy.
The confirmation comes from Jesse McCartney, the voice actor of Roxas in past Kingdom Hearts games and most likely Ventus in Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. He writes on his Twitter “Recording yet another Kingdom Hearts Game. All you Gamers eat your heart out!”
While there is no date for the North American or European version yet, you can probably expect it some time in 2010. For now though the only release date we know is January 9th for Japan.

This trailer is actually from Tokyo Game Show, which happened almost a month ago. I’m not sure what held this up from being released by here it is now. I’m not a huge Kingdom Hearts fan but I’m a bit interested in this one. Maybe down the line if I get a PSP I’ll grab it, but can’t say for sure.
Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep has a January 9th 2010 release date in Japan. The title will come to North America and Europe some time after that.
