Great job everyone!
I'm making a note here:
HUGE SUCCESS!

Cing, developer of Hotel Dusk: Room 215 and the upcoming Again: Eye of Providence, has filed bankruptcy. The company is currently over 200 million yen in debt.

While this doesn’t mean Cing is closing its doors, I’m sure it will be difficult for them to get back on their feet again.

All of Cing’s officially announced games are finished. So in terms of existing software, like Last Window, this shouldn’t effect those titles too much.

We will have to wait and see if Cing pulls through this one.

Nintendo trademarked the name Last Window in Europe. Last Window, a sequel to Hotel Dusk: Room 215, launched in Japan mid January on Nintendo DS. Cing’s titles have always performed well in Europe so it isn’t too surprising, but the question is whether it will head to North America.

Although this is good news no matter what region you live in as the DS is region free. So worse comes to worse, import away.

Why is the fact that Last Window is listed in Nintendo Power’s table of contents important? It means that we will probably get the title! So yeah, if you were worried about the title not coming to North America then this should put you at ease at least a little bit. We will have to wait till this month’s Nintendo Power ships out to know for sure.

If only we could get Another Code R here in North America…

This is probably the first real look we have at Last Window minus that short ten second clip we had before. Overall it looks fairly good, although it looks like the whole engine was just recycled from the last game. Admitally Hotel Dusk: Room 215′s graphics weren’t exactly its highpoint though.

We also get a first look at the Novel within the game. While the novel is rather plain (how exciting can a pages with letters on it look?), it looks like it could be fairly lengthy though.

Update: Oh I lied, there are two trailers. Second one is after the jump.

These details include some minor spoilers, so if you want to shield yourself from any story elements at all be sure to skip past the paragraph after the jump.

The scan shows off a few of the new characters, so if your curious about the character design hit the jump.

These short videos are from the Japanese Nintendo Channel

Last Window is looking right on track with Hotel Dusk’s style and Zangeki No Reginleiv is looking to be pretty interesting. I wish we get to see more gameplay of Zangeki No Reginleiv soon since I’m still a bit confused on exactly what the gameplay is like. Hopefully both of these titles will make their way out of Japan.

There have been some scans for Last Window and Reginleiv, which you can check out after the jump.

You may think Reginleiv looks familiar and you would be right. The title was shown off back in 2008 at Nintendo’s fall conference during their reel for upcoming Wii titles (You can check out the old footage at the 3 minute mark in the video, keep in mind that it is a year old build of the game). The over the shoulder view looks a bit clunky in the old build, but we will have to wait and see if it has been worked out over the past year.

Nintendo announced two titles today. The first being a Hotel Dusk: Room 215 sequel called Last Window -Mayonaka no Yakusoku. In Japan the title will be coming out on  January 14th for the Nintendo DS.  The only details on the actual game so far is it takes place in 1980′s Los Angeles.

The other title is the first M (Cero D) rated title Nintendo themselves have actually developed (games like Eternal Darkness, Geist and Disaster: Day of Crisis were done by second and third parties). It’s Japanese name is Zangeki no REGINLEIV and will be coming out February 11th in Japan on the Wii. The only details currently available is that it has a 4 player online co-op mode.

As of right now these titles have only been announced for Japan. If you live in North America I’m not sure if you should get your hopes up for Last Window considering Another Code R never made it here which is a similar type of game by the same developer. On the bright side Nintendo DS is region free unlike the Wii.

You can check out some small art for both titles after the jump.
