The release of Metal Gear Solid 2, 3 and Peace Walker for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 has been known about for a while now (along with a code that can be redeemed to obtain the original Metal Gear Solid for the Playstation 3 version). However in a recent development, Konami plans to release each game as separate downloads on the Playstation Network and the Xbox Live Marketplace. Peace Walker is already planned for a download on the Japanese Play Station Network for 4,480 en ($58 although an international release will probably be cheaper). The following two weeks later, MGS2&3 will be released two weeks later on November 23rd for either 3,480 en each ($45) or 4,980 for both ($65). It has also been confirmed that all three titles will be available on XBLA sometime next year for an unknown price.

FUN FACT: The Theme of Tara is named after the syllables “TA RA,” which was how Hideo Kojima would sing the two distinctive notes in the song. Needless to say, this was made for The Speed Gamers’ Metal Gear Solid marathon.
