Volition, creators of the Saint’s Row and Red Faction series, has some pretty vague news for its core fanbase.
“I think all we’ve been allowed to say right now is that we’re collaborating with a high-powered creative talent in the entertainment industry… It’s going to be a big name and we can’t wait to give everyone more details on this project! This is definitely going to be the most ambitious project Volition has ever taken on.”
To be honest, this is something that I’m really quite excited about. Saint’s Row is a fantastic game [if you're old enough to play it that is], and if the developers of that says its good, then it must be good! Check back in the TSG Newsroom for further developments.
Speaking of which… WHERE IS MY SAINT’S ROW 3 GAIZ? >:/

Alittle over an hour ago is when the Q&A wrapped up, and I must say it was very informative.
Rakuen made a very detailed list of some of the finer details mention about the HQ. I’ll drop a few of the more interesting details here.
- Membership pricing? 6 month = $12. 1 year = $20.
- Coming in and playing? ~$10 for a day pass. Will also offer hourly, $5 an hour?
- Each night of the week want to highlight different games. Nightly streaming with Shoutcasting (aka commentary).
- Marathon attendance will use a ticket system, since space might be an issue
The guys also recorded the Q&A Session on ustream, watch it after the break.

Well hello again…it’s seems so long since I’ve been here. Anywho, I’m here to talk to you children about what we changed on this blog.
Well you see we were trying to think of ways to organize the content where everything new would be visible and wouldn’t be pushed back a couple pages. Now in order to solve this dilemma we instituted what I call the “3 blocks.”
- First block is the newest marathon news.
- Second block is the latest gaming news.
- Third block is the current original content.
More about these blocks and other notable things after the break.
Here’s TheSpeedGamers on the local news. Sorry it took so long for me to upload it.

Thanks so much for everyone’s contribution, we couldn’t have done it without you. We smashed our original goal of $20,000 and have raised over $50,000 for ACT Today! The chipin will stay up until Monday.
Right now we are all a little awe struck and exhausted. We are having one last dinner as a group and then we go back to our normal lives.
UPDATE:
Sorry for the long delay, It has been hectic lately. I’ll never forget last week, I’m very proud of what the TSG community has done. Fun and fullfilling doesn’t do justice when describing what was last week. Lets just go with the over used term EPIC. With my free time I’ve visited all sorts of sites that redirected to us, wrote about us, tweeted, ect. and I still cant get over the amount of support we received. I’ve also got a chance to look at all the fan art and it never fails to keep me smiling for hours. There’s no better way to relive the marathon then through the artistic minds of the viewers. You guys are great.
The one downfall was that we didn’t finish all the games by our 168 hour deadline. But hey, that just gives us reason to make a second attempt somewhere down the line
Be sure to check out our 72 hour Megaman marathon for earthday.net starting August 14th @6pm cst.
Our store has reopened since the marathon has concluded.
