It has been awhile since Link has had a fully playable instrument in the Zelda series, but link must become a musician agian in The Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks. Link must master a new instrument called Spirit Pipes which are Pan Pipes. Using the microphone you will blow into the DS to play this instrument while using the stylus to choose different colored pipes.
The pipes seem to be pretty standard for the Zelda series calling upon powers to help you through your quest. For example at one point you will need to play it in order to reveal the train tracks to get to the next temple.
The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks is currently set for a December 7th in North America and December 11th in Europe.

As you can see from the trailer, not only does it seem like Zelda will act as your new Navi, but also as the spirit who controls the Phantoms. You can check out some new art after the jump.

Nintendo of Europe apparently loves tin boxes. While Game.co.uk may have New Super Mario Bros Wii tin boxes, Gamestation is getting their very own but for The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks instead. Along with the tin box it looks like there is some kind figures(?) things as well but its a bit difficult to tell and the site doesn’t list any details about the bundle other then game features, so don’t quote me on that.
The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks is currently set to release in Europe on December 11th on the Nintendo DS. The tin special edition specifically will costs £39.99. If you are interested be sure to check it out here.
Update: GAME will also have this limited edition as well (Source: CVG)
You can see a much larger image of the bundle after the jump.
Europeans will be getting The Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks on time for the holiday season with it’s release on December 11th at the end of this year.
The new item that lets you control a Phantom Guardian looks pretty nifty and I really hope they do a good job building puzzles and combat around him. Other then that though looks quite a bit like Phantom Hourglass, minus the train. I’m sure it will shape up to be at the very least a decent entry in the Zelda franchise.
A small reminder, December 7th is the current release date for Spirit Tracks for North America.
