The currently Japanese exclusive Wii title Zangeki no Reginleiv has showed no sign of a localization in both Europe or North America, but the title may be heading overseas according to a recent rumor.
Apparently, a European magazine has an inside scoop on the story. No other details came from the rumor aside from the localization of the title. We will have to wait to see if sometime within the next month a magazine hits shelves with the info.
The rumor doesn’t mention if North America will be getting a localization as well. NoA might play the watch and wait card again like they have done with a handful of other titles in Europe.

Wired interviewed Cammie Dunaway, executive vice-president of Nintendo of America, and spoke about the software being released this year. Wired brought up the subject of Zelda Wii, and while she didn’t 100% confirms a release, it seems she hinted strongly at it.
“Wired.com: I think people were really interested to know, are they going to release Mario and Metroid and Zelda all in one year?
Dunaway: And you said we wouldn’t. You bet no, right?
Wired.com: I bet no. Are you going to hold me to that? Do I owe you a steak dinner?
Dunaway: I think you do.”
Wired also brought up the topic of titles being published by Nintendo in Japan but have yet to see any sign of plans for localization including The Last Story and Xenoblade. “It’s too early to say whether we’re going to bring those here; we just found out about them when Mr. Iwata announced them at the conference (in Japan).”
Zangeki no Reginleiv was also brought up, but it was unclear if she was talking about this title as well considering it has been announced for some time.

I’m probably setting myself up for disappointment with Zangeki no REGINLEIV, but I’m still crossing my fingers that Nintendo of America or Nintendo of Europe will localize the title.
The trailer gives you a good overall look at the game and it looks pretty promising as long as you aren’t expecting a AAA title. Although I’m personally not a huge fan of the massive MSpaint-like lines for some of the attacks.

These short videos are from the Japanese Nintendo Channel
Last Window is looking right on track with Hotel Dusk’s style and Zangeki No Reginleiv is looking to be pretty interesting. I wish we get to see more gameplay of Zangeki No Reginleiv soon since I’m still a bit confused on exactly what the gameplay is like. Hopefully both of these titles will make their way out of Japan.
There have been some scans for Last Window and Reginleiv, which you can check out after the jump.
You may think Reginleiv looks familiar and you would be right. The title was shown off back in 2008 at Nintendo’s fall conference during their reel for upcoming Wii titles (You can check out the old footage at the 3 minute mark in the video, keep in mind that it is a year old build of the game). The over the shoulder view looks a bit clunky in the old build, but we will have to wait and see if it has been worked out over the past year.

Nintendo announced two titles today. The first being a Hotel Dusk: Room 215 sequel called Last Window -Mayonaka no Yakusoku. In Japan the title will be coming out on January 14th for the Nintendo DS. The only details on the actual game so far is it takes place in 1980′s Los Angeles.
The other title is the first M (Cero D) rated title Nintendo themselves have actually developed (games like Eternal Darkness, Geist and Disaster: Day of Crisis were done by second and third parties). It’s Japanese name is Zangeki no REGINLEIV and will be coming out February 11th in Japan on the Wii. The only details currently available is that it has a 4 player online co-op mode.
As of right now these titles have only been announced for Japan. If you live in North America I’m not sure if you should get your hopes up for Last Window considering Another Code R never made it here which is a similar type of game by the same developer. On the bright side Nintendo DS is region free unlike the Wii.
You can check out some small art for both titles after the jump.
