If you have been thinking of purchasing Dragon Age: Origins, I can tell you that you will not be disappointed by the game. However if you own a PS3 and were thinking of buying the Collectors, you may want to hold off on this.
It seems that EA decided to put the PS3 Collectors Edition disc onto a blu-ray to take advantage of the PS3’s blu-ray drive. This is great, except the disc has the gorgeous game soundtrack in it’s entirety…in mp3 format. The ps3 CAN read mp3’s but not if they are on a blu-ray disc.
So owners of the Collectors edition cannot access the soundtrack unless they have another device capable of reading mp3’s from a blu-ray, or unless they buy a blu-ray drive for their PC.
If i owned a ps3 (not until FFXIII comes out xD) I would be pretty upset if I paid $75 for a collectors edition, only to find out that i can’t access content on it from my PS3.

I’ve been sick for the last 24 hours but seeing the mail lifted my spirits a bit. Cow from our forums donated a brand new, still in the wrapping copy of Pokemon Platinum for the the Pokmon marathon! Just last week Cheesecake donated a mint condition Ho-oh Poke doll! Last, but not least, Yuso sent us multiple copies of the Pokemon league badges about a month ago, also still in their wrapping. There’s still some prizes I’m waiting on announcing till a later date, so be sure to check back for more prize info.
Thank you all for your generosity!

I’m not really a big fan of online shooters, but the multiplayer in this actually looks pretty neat. If each species is drastically different and remains balanced it could turn into a really unique multiplayer experience.
Alien vs Predator (working title) is set to releases some time during the first half of 2010 on PC, X-box 360 and PlayStation 3.

Originally Deus Ex 3 was believed to be a PC exclusive, but it appears that the company is starting to shy away from that statement. Bit-Tech originally stated that the title “won’t be getting a console release due to the complexity of the game,” but Eidos struck back saying “Only the PC version has been announced so far… I dunno where that website is getting its info from!”
While that doesn’t exactly confirm a console port, it does show that Eidos is definitely not shunning the possibility of one.

Famitsu magazine revealed that Final Fantasy XIII will be putting a bit of a twist on the typical Final Fantasy weapon system. In Final Fantasy XIII you will be able to feed your weapons material which you can obtain through treasure chests, battles, shops, and by destroying other weapons in your possession. Materials will have a variety of effects on your weapons, but the main effect is that your weapon will gain experience points which are needed to level up your weapon. You can also increase and decrease EXP receive from materials by feeding certain materials to your weapons in a certain order.
Eventually your weapon will have a small star icon placed by it to indicate that its level cap has been reached. Once the cap is reached you have the option to change the form of your weapon which will increase its capabilities and give you new abilities, but you will need a special material to do this. There is a catch to upgrading weapons though. When you change the form of your weapon it will initially start out weaker then its previous level capped form, but eventually as you level the new weapon it will surpass the capped capabilities of your previous weapon.
While the weapon changes its form, the actual weapon class won’t change. For example if you are upgrading a rod type weapon you will get a different weapon, but it will still be in the rod weapon class.
Stores will still sell weapons, but there is still a clear emphasis on feeding your weapons. The weapons sold at stores will be at their base level, so they will be weak upon purchase until you build them up.
It sounds similar to Phantasy Star’s mag system to me, but it could be I’m just playing too much Phantasy Star Zero.

Two days ago we heard that Red Dead Redemption was going to be coming April of 2010. Now that date has been narrowed down to April 27th 2010 for the X-box 360 and PlayStation 3.
No new details were released, so those looking for new content will have to wait for the trailer that is set to be released on December 1st.

The back of the PlayStation 3 box has been leaked for Final Fantasy XIII and it reveals some additional details for the PlayStation 3 version of the title. First up there is no mandatory or optional install for Final Fantasy XIII, so the only space it will take up on your hard drive is the 500kb required for save data. The second notable detail reveals that, unlike during gameplay, CGI cutscenes will support full 1080p HD. And lastly the title will support LCPM 5.1 audio.
This is a leak so be sure to take this information with caution. If it is true then we still don’t know if these features will also be present in the X-box 360 version. Unless Square-Enix announces it before, we will have to wait till December 17th when Final Fantasy XIII will be launching in Japan.
You can check out the leaked box after the jump, but there isn’t much to see.

There isn’t much multiplayer footage, but you can get a quick glimpse of it at the 1:45 mark of the video. The video contains a lot of recycled cutscenes and gameplay, but there are a few pieces here and there that are new. If you can spare three minutes be sure to check it out.
Valkyria Chronicles 2 is a PlayStation Portable exclusive. The title will be available January 21st in Japan and Summer 2010 in North America.
